Amel, Shed and Markings

I am not entirely sure what signs an amel will show prior to shedding, but I noticed two or three small purple-ish spots on my snakes head which I didn't notice before. Is this a sign of going into the blue, or something much more sinister? I know the picture doesn't show them very clearly, but it was the best I got with him all fidgeting around.

I find my amel's eyes get very pink and milky before a shed. His whole body tends to get very pink and milky too. Sometimes it can be hard to tell when an amel is going to shed.

Can you get a better photo of the purple areas? I am not sure what this is but it is unlikely to be related to a shed.

Ok, here is four more pictures of his head. I am starting to think that it is just the pigment of the skin there and I never noticed it before. Is that possible?

Ok, He shedded for the first time with me today, about a half hour ago! He is so bright! It is amazing! Anyway, the blue marking is still on his head. It doesn't look like anything wrong, just the pigment there, but has anyone else seen this and know what it is?
 
It looks very irridescent to me- but maybe his whole skin is. I bet the pigment just developed while you weren't looking.
