I was snooping around Serpenco and seen these Rich.. They seem to have the appearance of a phantom for sure.. I realize your pressed for time and the on slaught of breeding season is about to over whelm you..

I can patiently wait a while for some pictures of a few more adult pictures.. I am doing a similair project.. I breed a anery het motley and lavender ( An animal from Stephen W's neon project aniamls ) to an anery ( possibly ghost ) female this year.. You beat me to the punchline with the Anery Lav's, but a picture would be something I could look forward too in reaching my project goals..

Probably won't happen anytime soon, I'm sorry to say. About the only time I take photos of animals these days is when the females are laying eggs, or the babies are hatching out. I have to check on them anyway, so I just keep the camera handy. To actually have to find where something is in those racks to specifically take a picture of takes way too much time.

Actually I am growing up Anerythristic Motleys het for Lavender to breed one of these years. Got a few left from last year for sale if you're interested. Could give you a shortcut in your own projects.
 
Kinda off topic but Rich, the lav motley het amel you send me last month has some yellow coming in on her neck. Any chance its a anery lav? or just something random?
 
I don't believe that yellow is tied in any way to 'A' Anerythrism. Yellow is just not commonly seen in the Lavenders, so I'm not sure what to tell you. I have had it show up rarely, but never persisted once they reached maturity.

From what I have seen of Lavender/Anerys, and from having Anerythristic Motleys hatch out of the original stock I used to produce my Lavender Motleys, quite likely I HAVE sold off some Lavender Anerythristic Motleys here and there. :shrugs:

My bad, I have that male from Stephens original stock.. But that is not what I bred to the possible ghost female.. D'oh.. I breed a lavender het anery to her.. Gees, I must have been tired last night with my mind skipping around.. My apologies, and I did not intend to mislead anyone with my post..

Anyways Rich, the project animals sound like an intresting short cut... I might have to consider it..

I bred my Serpenco Lavender Motley to my Zig Zag Silver Queen this year, and have 14 eggs in the incubator as of yesterday. I was going for hets to produce Hypo Lavender Anery Motleys and maybe Zig Zags... I don't know what the two have in the way of hets, (I doubt the Silver Queen is het Lavender), but it would be great if I got Hypos, Ghosts, and Anerys het Lavender Motley....
 
I know I have never bred Silver Queen into my Lavender lines, but no idea if anyone else has..... :shrugs:

I figured as much, (I was told she was a Serpenco SQ picked up at a Daytona show, but no proof was given :shrugs: ). This was a last minute test of the Lavender Mot. to see if he is het Hypo and Anery... which from reading your posts, he could very well be het for... He is a large, unbrumated '05, so I was just going to give him a shot at the Candy Cane for Opal hets... (with the thought that Opals from Candy Cane lines may have a different look), and to see if he may be het for Amel... but she wasn't interested...
 
I will be producing these next year Tim. I have a Snow p/homo or 100% het Lavender (SerpenCo stock) that I will be breeding to a female Lavender het Anery (Dakota Corns). If everthing turns out the way I am hoping it will, I should have a clutch consisting of half Lavenders and half Anery Lavenders. This, I hope, will help me see the difference between the two. I am very interested in this line as well. Even though Anery should mask Lavender I think there will be enough difference between the morphs to tell the difference. I am picturing a snake that would look like a dark Lavender but maybe with a grey/blue iris and a ruby pupil. I would be open for any discussions you might want to have about this project. Maybe we might be able to work together. :shrugs:

We shall see what goes on with this clutch that should have hatched this week.. Likely I need to divide up the clutch with the other Tim as he donated me his male lav for breeding purposes.. By the time that is done, I might have *crosses fingers* a couple of females and male left for us..
