Hi guys,

We've recently acquired a patternless anery in grey.

I was wondering if anyone can offer advice on lineage to create the morphs and general behaviour?

It's a stunning snake and is currently approx 8 inches long, very cute!

I would so like to see a picture of this stunning snake...
sadly I have nothing to assist you on the lineage.

Hi there,

did i miss something? in the post yesterday you said you were doing research on the snake but actually didn't own one?

Welcome to the forum. The breeders will be able to answer you regarding patternless anerys' better than me. I have mainly stripes myself <3

I don't own one, where I work does. I shall endeavour to post a pic. Yes I do believe its a vanishing pattern

I don't see a pic at all. Is she anything like the snake in my avatar? She's a vanishing stripe anery hatchling.

Found your album, this is the snake WildSue is talking about, hope it's okay if I post it here for you. :)

Definitely looks like a vanishing stripe anery. Pretty snake, but I might be biased, lol. :)

Unsure of the question. The lineage to create the morph is two simple recessive mutations, the pattern mutation of stripe and color mutation anerytherism. Mutations (except sunkissed) seem to have no impact on behavior. Also, I'd bet that snake is closer to 14"-18". They typically hatch at or over 8", although don't look like it, because they are seldom stretched out straight. And I'm guessing from the picture yours is a 2014.

Thanks for posting for me.
It's a Jan 15 and measures at 11, managed to measure lol.
The reason I asked coz I wasn't sure what created their morph nor if this created any behavioural problems as I know in some ball pythons morphs there can be probs depending on their lineage.
Very handsome snake.
