Awww, too bad about only getting one Hypo Lav. At least you did get one though!

I'd imagine you'd be pulling your hair out if you'd gotten all Hypos (normals?). Now you know that the genes are there! Was the pair related? If not maybe they were a different type of Hypo? Or perhaps these Hypos are just on the darker side.. I'm still interested in seeing everyone after they've shed. They sure are taking their sweet time about it, eh?!

Yes, the parents were related, siblings from CCCorns that we picked up in 2006. Most of the babies appear to be hypo, they are more red than brown like the other normals we hatched out, and it's easier to see in some lights than others.

They should start shedding here pretty soon too, as they are all pretty much in the middle of the shed cycle now. I will definitely post after shed pics of them all and keep my fingers crossed that they lighten up afterwards.
 
I definitely trust your morph ID "prowess" better than my own! Perhaps their darkness is just an indicator that they will get very bright as they mature, kind of like the darker the Okeetee or Miammi is at hatching, the better.
