Rich-

Anyway you can post a picture of one of your adult ultras? I'm curious to see what an adult version looks like compared to the other 'hypos'.

How'd you manage through the storm? We lost power for a bit here in town but nothing too major. I'd assume it was about the same for you.

Joe,

There is a photo of an adult (with a clutch of eggs) on my SerpenCo site: http://www.serpenco.com/shop/custom...=1&PHPSESSID=42339f602886f37802d8db9819eb9266

I think Ultras are going to be every bit as variable as regular Hypos are, depending on what the normal colored stock they originated from looks like.

Not too much damage here from the storm. The winds uprooted some of my biggest bamboo, which pisses me off, but heck, things could have been MUCH worse. Power was out much of the day on Sunday, and Comcast was down until Monday evening, so no internet service. Thank goodness I have that generator on the animal buildings! I've heard that along the coast there was a LOT of flooding even this far east from the storm center. I think it surprised a lot of people.

Thanks for the link.

I saw that you hadn't been online since rougly Saturday and was curious. I was half tempted to give you a call to make sure your house didn't blow away.

NWS said that St. Marks was in shambles due to the flooding. I guess when you have an area only a few feet above sea level that experiences 12 foot storm surge---bad things happen.

Apparently some sections of 98 that way are closed---not sure exactly where, but I get the idea it's somewhere between you, and Ochlockonee Bay. I saw a few clips from local news guys out at Alligator Point and they were getting it pretty good.

Glad to hear you're okay and no major loss. Now just get ready for the next THREE systems out in the Atlantic. :)

Yeah, I see "Emily" making a beeline for the Gulf of Mexico. I think this is going to be a REAL crappy year living in Florida..........

I'd better figure out where my chainsaw is and make sure it still works.
