i need to find a good field guide book to tell what different snakes are in the wild ill be looking in my home state of pa i know that they have such books but not sure of the names of a good one

Anything by Petersen Field Guides or Stebbins will be good. And they are still in print so reasonably up-to-date.
Of course, you can go with the old standard...Audobon Society put out a field guide to North American Reptiles and Amphibians some 30 years ago. It is old, and some of the taxonomy is a bit out dated, but it is chock full of fantastic identification photos.

the pittsburge area i see snakes up at my camp in tionesta all the time and would like to know the species and alittle about them

I have The National Audubon Society's pocket guide to familiar Reptiles and Amphibians of North America. Its not a herpetological textbook by any means, but it fits in your pocket and has some great advice regarding our friends the venomous snakes ( namely leave them the heck alone ). Its even got a little section on when, where, and how to find wild herps. Can't say I've ever used it in the "wild", but it seems like it would be handy.
