Any guesses on this girl?

Picked her up from an expo yesterday, she was underneath a bunch of normals, but when I pointed her out, they couldn't figure out what she was, and didn't have her genetics on record. She was just labeled as a normal, but I and the guys I got her from think there's something else going on.

Any ideas? Could she be a hypo? Maybe a locality? She's way prettier than any of the other normals I've ever seen :)

She almost looks like a crimson, except her eye is the wrong color. Unless it's a lot more red/orange than the picture shows.

Looks like a hypomelanistic corn, the facial markings and belly checks look like what you expect from a hypo. I wouldn't say crimson, being that they are hypo's linebred from Miami line corns...

I don't know much about crimson (just not a bit of genetics I've put a lot of reading into), so I won't comment on that.

However, from your photos, there is a chance that Hypo is at play. It can be hard to tell with that gene, though, because sometimes the changes are subtle, and "Normal" can have a lot of variation in and of itself.

I'm rambling, though... From your pictures, I'd be willing to say that the black pigmentation looks pretty faded, both around the saddles and on the belly checks. That, in my opinion, points to Hypo as a distinct possibility.

In the end, whatever she is, she's certainly pretty! :)

Forum posts have a 10 character minimum. If a response is less than 10 characters, like "Hypo" in this case, the poster will usually follow up with something like "10char" "10 characters" etc. I just thought it was particularly clever that Chip hid it well enough by making it white and barely noticeable.

Ahhhh ok, LOL. I thought it had something to do with the markings in the snakes head<<<< DUH.
