Any one keep or kept a Papuan Tree Boa?

Robbie, you like EVERYTHING. :D

Alla, if you're looking for a nice Carpet but don't want it to get too big, definitely look for an Irian, and find out which sex stays smaller. I think it's the males, but I'm not sure.

When I saw $30, I was fishy, but looked.

"FIELD COLLECTED SPECIMENS

[...]

GREAT LOOKING COLORS

VERY VARIED GROUP OF COLORS, SOME VERY LIGHT AND SOME VERY DARK DETAILED

ALL ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND EATING MICE!

THIS IS THE BEST DEAL ON KINGSNAKE!

SOME EXCELLENT BREEDERS AND SMALLER GUYS!"

Field collected is wild caught. There's nothing that says they're been treated for parasites, ect.

Good colors are both an opinion thing and usually a captive bred trait, and if they're field collected and breeding, I highly doubt they've been bred by the people who have them right now or they wouldn't be 30 bucks.

And... best deal on Kingsnake? What, it's hard to edit "fauna" or something? Plus, the all caps just screams no.

It could be a GREAT deal for a legit thing, or it could be a total rip off. Sure, not a whole lot of money being spent, but I don't think it's worth the possible trouble. The poster does have a good trade rating, so see if you can find info on them, but this looks like a "buy at your own risk" thing to me.

ya thats what I thought too thats why I asked. I dont know how much ATBs normally go for but figured that was alot higher then what he is asking. And see for me it would cost me $80 because the cost of shipping he said would be $50 to Alaska. That is the one thing that sucks about living up here, shipping costs haha.

Well, I looked at the trader rating and the profile comments, and from a quick look, they're legit, so maybe if you really want an ATB it's worth a shot. I still say take a deeper look at the seller though.

Well im not 100% sold on getting one for sure I just happened to find that last night. Im not totally sold because I want a snake I can handle and im just not sure if I would want an animal that was always nipping or biting.

Thanks for posting that. Im still pretty new to faunaclassifieds so I problulby would have never found that thread. I know no buisness is perfect and will always have some one who had a bad experience how ever I do listen to complaints when I hear them and take them with a grain of salt. Im going to see if I can find more feed back on them.

Ya im thinking I may just go with one of the papuan tree boas. I called and just drilled them and they swears up and down that they feed on pinkys once a week and that both eat very well and quickly so Im thinking later today I am going to go in and see if I can actually see them eat and try to convince my wife I NEED one haha.

I guess im kinda afraid of buying an animal I cant see and touch before I buy it too, that kinda scares me.

ya, just out of curiosity I asked them if they had any corns and he said they had one "sunshine" for $112 so im thinking maby its a butter since they dont seem to know jack about corn morphs. Im new to this and I know more about corns then they do haha.
