Anyone here with Everglades Rat Snakes?

Anyone here keep these? I've just saw some pics online and thought they were very pretty...but know little about them. Are they docile? How big do they get? Can anyone share pics of theirs?

I have one, I know very little on them but, the one I have only eats live bloody pinks and is a little fiesty and hates to be handled :/. But I think they all have different temperaments cuz my other two rats, anery and white sided rat snakes are sweet as can be, even sweeter then my corn snakes. I heard they get a little bit bigger then a corn snake but all three of mine are still babies to juvies, so couldn't tell you exactly.

I wonder if all the everglades babies are nippy? I like snakes but I don't like giving them my blood. :)
Thanks for the pic! He/she is pretty.

I saw this thread at work and have been waiting to get home to post some pics of mine! I have a pair of juvenile hypo everglades rats. They are not that friendly, but the male (first pic) is slightly less evil than the female. But I guess she is so pretty that she gets to be as evil as she wants. Just jaw dropping orange.

Now that's a new one for me. :) Are they pure everglades? They're beautiful!

Thanks. They are 100% glades. My babies were a little nippy. My adults are fine just a little flighty. The male is aggressive during breeding season. No blood letting here yet.

If you mean mine, she was a juvie when I acquired her. I do need to take update pics. She is just out of bru and hungry and scary to handle though ;)
Tom those paradox whitesided are very nice!

Lol, yes, I was talking about your little girl, I hope my little one gets close to those colors, but I am still debating on keeping him, because he only eats live pinkys. :/

Ok, that's it. I'm getting a pair of these. :) I'm in love. I've always loved the striped amel corn snakes but (and I hate to admit this) I think the everglades I'm seeing are even nicer. I have to find a pair like that.
Thanks for the AWESOME pics.
Do you think they'll settle down in time??

I don't know. I had another one that was a normal a long time ago and he was really mellow, still not as laid back as a corn but he was easy to handle and did not try to bite or escape. He was a bit older. These hypo ones are harder to handle than he was, they have a really strong feeding response. I got a f/t mouse in the tub for the female and she latched on to it and started eating but would not stop constricting my wrist, and when I finally got her off my hand she wrapped the frozen thawed mouse and killed it for like 5 minutes.

Mine have very aggressive feeding responses as well. Overall mine remind me alot of how my superdwarf retics acted. I love long hemostats!

Yeah I have a male who is evil. And even my "tame" ones still randomly like to musk and nip. I have a scaleless glades who unfortunately doesn't like handling despite her feeling so neat to touch. Overall not a good "pet" in my opinnion

Yesss!
I got one. :)
This is her right after eating a pinky. So far she is VERY calm and sweet...no different than my corn snake. I was told by the seller that if I handle her frequently she will stay calm. We'll see. :)
