Hope the title sounded right :rolleyes:
Bare w/ me I am still SO new to this. Sometimes (not always) when I go to get 'little Dani' out of his viv he is cold. Not freezing cold, but not warm either. Then he will warm up. Is this Normal?
 
Your body temp. is in the high 90's. Anything you touch that is cooler than that will feel cooler even cold. My snakes warm up with handleling as they draw heat out of me.
 
yup they are cool well it depends on how warm or cool you are.
Sometimes when im cold they feel warm because they have been under their heat lamp
and sometimes when im hot they feel cold.
Its just probably not a good thing if they feel hot or ice cold though lol
 
If your snake seems active and alert in spite of this (good appetite, etc.) all's well and you've nothing to fear.

Otherwise, perhaps a small UTH (under tank/cage heater) might be a suggestion. Heat/basking lamps are not necessary for corns, and they typically heat more of the air above the snake than the animal itself.
 
Whenever I get Leeroy out when he is cruising around his viv he is cold to the touch, mostly because he likes to lean up against the glass. However he warms right up after I handle him for awhile
 
Snakes have a body temperature that is normally lower then human body temperature, so they should ideally feel cooler then us, that being said, if they have just been warming themselves they'll feel warmer. really though, if your viv is properly set there should be little chance of your snake feeling warm when you take it out. Cool is good, really cold is not so good.

My silly question is, what the hell is a DUW(dial up warning), please don't all shout at once.

When someone mentions a thread has a DUW (Dial Up Warning), it usually means that they have attached alot of photos and if you're using a Dial Up connection on your computer, it may take a long, long time for everything to download.
