My newest acquisition, a banded Cali King, officially named Davey Jones. I got him off of Craigslist:uhoh:. Pretty good deal for the snake and tank with accessories. Too bad the cage was a mess and stunk like hell. Luckily I was already 75% done setting up a sterilite viv for a possible upcoming mexican black king, so I just put him in there and I'll save the tank for the mexican. He's a pretty big guy. He's approximately the same age as my corn but twice as big. He's been cruising around his viv for the past few hours. I guess the hour long car ride stressed him a bit. Plus his old tank was just wood chips so he's probably experiencing the joys of burrowing in aspen for the first time. Anyway, here's a couple cell pics before I transferred him to the sterilite.

he is pretty... i wish i had a kingsnake... i want a speckled though... mostly because i have such fond memories of catching them in the back yard.... largest one i caught was 5'3. i was roughly 5' tall at the time... it was fun....
but yeah, really pretty king

Lovely! Reminds me of the one at our local store. Tara and I eyed him for a while but are leery of bringing mites home again.

Thanks. I've ogled one that my local Petsmart has had for some time. He's (or she) is already exhibiting some good personality. My corn is still pretty skittish and will retreat to a hide if I catch him out and about, but Davey just sits there and stares at me. Even if I approach the viv, just sits there and stares.

My Cali has a TON of personality! She tricked me and didn't start musking till she was a couple years old. Now she can be a musking fool, but, oh well.
