Sorry if this has already been posted. I did a few searches and didn't find anything.

Someone in the herpers livejournal community posted this earlier. It's the article written in response to the claims that the proposed species included in the python ban constitute potential invasive species.

I haven't had a chance to read it all the way through, but so far it's pretty interesting. It's published in an open access journal (PLoS), so everyone should be able to take a look:
