i think that everyone has a right to speak their mind - everyone so far has stepped up to defend this site (AND RICH) which was maliciously attacked
this person attacked the site and rich with no facts or links to other threads to support her claims
I can think of another person that got into it with rich, but wrote intelligently and clearly and is still around, not banned and the thread is still there
when someone attacks something one likes, ones reaction should be to defend it at all costs. Now I understand we're talking about a website, but the idea is still valid to a degree and while I havent posted a reply to 'unregister's post, I agree with most of the posts here

whell if she thought that she got her feeling hurt or any thi ng in here then she has never been to some of the forms i got to which are full of teenagers that all they do is cuse and "flame" (make fun of) the other users. this forum is that best acting i have ever been to every one is polite and answers all of you questions no matter how many times they have been asked the same question. in fact when i have thought i had a a really bad problem (that turned out to be nothing at all) i woulg go and PM ever one on or even rich a couple of times, but they have always been helpfull. the closest i have seen to some one fighting on here is this thread here and even that turned out to be a misunderstanding.

i havent replyed for quite awhile (compared to most of you) but have been reading, and I can honestly say that I have not heard a single insult in a long long time. But even if there were, are we all so sensitive and immature that we cant just shrug off all that or accept different opinions.
But thats not really the point, I'm just concerned with you insulting rich z about asking for money for this site and so on. Well rich z is a respected person here and, well, your not. And about him asking for money, why would someone want to take money out of their pocket to make a forum that other ppl are using. I think it makes perfect sence to ask for a few donations.

This site has been available for well over a year (close to 2 1/2, if I'm not mistaken . . .I probably am, and it may be longer . . .short term memory lapses are the first sign of . . .what was I talkign about???), but this particular format is close to a year old.
However, in all of that time, I have never seen anyone be unneccesarily flamed on ANY issue. There have been a few spoofers out there who have gone too far and had their heads handed to them, but those instances are few and far between. This is a kind site . . .whether you like it that way or not!

Yes I remember this kid. Whomever it is made some particularly nasty comments to me via email and I just booted him/her out of here. I have gotten several followup emails where they wanted me to release their original logon name, which I just ignored. I guess they just got tired of the new name and decided to leave. But to be honest, they have done that in the past (I can't remember if it was under this logon name or another), but came back anyway.
Doesn't matter to me either way. If he/she contributed something here, maybe someone will miss him/her. I guess some other site will be blessed with his/her presence now.
You know, I can't figure out why anyone would think I would be upset about them leaving my free site. Am I supposed to be losing something from this? I just had to move all of my sites over to another server because my stats were exceeding the 65 gigabyte per month limit I had on the old server. Yep, definitely heading downhill with this site...........

I am not into pretending I am Kitty from That 70's Show and laughing everything off to keep things "happy" but in this thread I have yet to see anything that can be called "scathing" .....and why does every single post have to be perfectly happy happy joy joy? Well Darin, I really don't know off hand. I believe this current message board system has been up since around March of 2002. Before that I had he older style message board that I set up back when ALL of the forums got shut down on kingsnake.com when Joe Polanco filed suit against Jeff B. I don't remember exactly when that was. I only have a few files from that old board, but one numbered 5082 is dated November of 2001.
Then, of course, I had a message board right on my SerpenCo.com site. I'm thinking it may have been in March, 1999, if some of the files I have left over are dated correctly. Problem is that I may have edited those files, so the dates are of the last edit, and not the creation date.
That was a LOT of different servers ago.

Just to confirm here because I really don't want my post to be 1000% taken out of context....
I was not insulting you Racheal or personally *attacking* you, although I did personally address you. Just wanted to share my opinion that things don't always have to be perfectly happy. The internet is a free place as is this site (within the rules which none have been broken here obviously) and if people don't like this person who repeatedly has been banned and is now bad mouthing this place, calling them on spelling errors is the least they should be allowed to say.

I have only posted pictures once on these forums but have read all the past entries over the past few months and have found this to be a very informative and interesting site to visit. I have learned a lot in a short time and have felt welcomed by all the 'long' time members, as they wrote back welcoming me on my post which I didn't really expect for being a 'newbie'. In reading these forums I have seen many questions repeated over and over by different people and always the answers were polite and helpful. I am not one that believes in being rude to anyone, either in person or on the net, but I can understand why everyone has posted their remarks and I feel they are justified in being slighted for the 'attack'. Maybe some of the remarks seem out of hand (though I thought they were fairly mild remarks) but the opening remark by 'unregistered' definitely seemed to ask for such. I certainly plan on keeping this site in my special bookmarks.
And as far as asking for money. Why would 'unregistered' feel that we should get all this knowledge and enjoyment for free at someone elses expense? He could easily make this a pay members only site. I think Rich has done a great job and even though I am new here I would stick up for him and all the others.
I look forward to many years of interesting reading and can't wait to see all the fun pictures when the 'kids' start piping.
