Attention Petco Members!

I don't know if it is at ALL Petco stores, but at mine (Cookeville, TN) they are having a $1 Per Gallon tank sale! Due to limited space and money, I was only able to buy a 20 gallon tank for my baby corn snake (a nice upgrade from the 10 gallon). It was regularly $46.99, but with my Petpal members card, I only paid $20! I was very excited about it, and I just wanted to share it with everyone. I think it goes on until the 25th of January.

Don't think you have to be a Petco member unless that has changed. I refuse to join, and buy their sale tanks to stock my store.

You do have to be a member. It rang up at regular price, so I said "WHOA wait a minute. This tank is in the $1 a gallon sale, isn't it?" The cashier said "It will apply the discount when you scan your member card." What a relief! I was almost devastated lol. But it only takes like 2 minutes to sign up, it doesn't cost you anything, and they send you great coupons that are based on what you've been buying. For instance I recently got two coupons for "Buy 1 get one free reptile substrate." Can't hurt to join!

Probably not since it is Petco that has the sale, not Petsmart.

^^^ No we don't..

But we do get some great sales on days like boxing day and the newly added "Black Friday" I managed to grab a Extra large and wide exo terra, Regular 230 for 120$ on this past Black Friday at my local petsmart!
so the sales are out there they just don't pop up as often than they do in the US.

Thanks for the tip Justine. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to wait that long before upgrading. My corn is currently in a 10gal (10x20) and he is 5 months old and already 20" long. He'll be a year old in August. I don't think he'll appreciate being crammed in that 10gal until late November!

Oh well sometime around July (or when I notice he is 30" long) I'll start checking kijiji etc for a new viv.

Craigslist is a great place to pick up aquariums for cheaps. Just clean them really well with a bleach solution and rinse thoroughly.

If you only have one hide, consider making another so she has one at each end, a warm side and the cool side. Mine all go back and forth depending on how they feel, and they love their hides! The more the better!
