Pragmatic & Logical
Stephen Roylance is a really hardworking family man who has worked at a regular restaurant job for years. At the same time, he was also working hard for many years on establishing himself as a cutting edge producer of superior baby corns. His wife had also built up a home based child care center.
After the hurricane, not only did his snake room and many snakes blow away, but part of the roof to his home blew away and his home started growing mold, making it uninhabitable. So the day care business was also lost. They had to live with relatives for awhile and now live in an old RV on their property while the house is being fixed, which may take up to a year. So much more than long term breeding projects were lost - all that remains is the restaurant job and a long road back to where he was before. If anyone is able to help in any way, he and his family certainly deserve it.
I understand that there is a possibility that there might be a donation table for this project at the Tampa show April 9 - 10. If that happens, I will try to collect as much stuff as possible from our local herp society. Hopefully, drygoods will also be accepted as people could more easily ship t shirts, books, supplies, etc, compared to live herps.
If I hear that it is a go, I will post here in case people want to ship anything for the show. Maybe other herp societies will want to send something too.
