I am starting to feel a little better about the situation thanks in part to everyone here in these forums. I am a member of fauna as of a few weeks ago. It is there where I did a search on the breeder and I did find some good comments about him. What the worst part was the way the snake was shipped. He was in a tupperware container with some shedding just thrown in a USPS priority box. There were no styrofoam sides or nothing....Just some rolled up newspaper on the sides to prevent the container from moving.....
Anyhow, thanks some much for the comments.....
Now, I have one last question....I am leaving him alone in his viv to calm down a bunch...I am sure this has been very stressful for him. When should I attempt to feed him?

In my honest opinion...
I usually leave all my new acquired snakes alone for at least a week. Sometimes two weeks, give or take a couple days. This generally includes handling, photo sessions, feeding, etc. (Make sure you give it water though!)
This serves as a dual purpose.
1. It gives the new animal plenty of time to adapt to it's new surrounding and "debrief" if you will.
2. It also allows ample time for your new arrival to get hungry enough usually not to hesitate on your first feeding of that individual. Given it's not a problem feeder to begin with!
I'm not convinced your snake was fed, I think that may have been supplemented to the story to ease the mind of a less expienced keeper. It seems to me from the posts, I read over at Fauna, that this guy could be preying on such individuals.
Where did you see posts about his credibility? The two posts I linked, were the only two I saw there at all with Ray being involved. And to me, they both "sang the same tune".
Don't worry, that is not nearly long enough to starve a healthy hatchling. Everything will be alright.

Interesting how the guy wanted to give snakes away cheap so everyone can afford them, but if the person went to pick up the snake it would be only $10 less. What a rat this guy is!! I don't personally go on the BOI, but I assume someone has posted about him?
If it is illegal to ship with USPS, is there any way to report this guy to them? That would certainly make it a bit more difficult for him to do it in the future, I would think.
Man, things like this really mess things up for everyone. I'm really glad the snake got there safe!!

I would attempt to make him give you back the difference on the shipping. I'm glad your snake got there safe and sound. I feel so fortunate to have gotten my snakes from someone who knew what they were doing. We even waited on shipping until he could ship them properly (overnight) when we had work conflicts. All were shipped in styrofoam with deli cups and aspen in a cardboard box. I hope you put him on the BOI.

I got my first snakes shipped to me last summer from Kathy Love. Not knowing anything about shipping snakes, I was paranoid that they wouldn't arrive when they were supposed to, so I went to the DHL office and picked them up. I would recommend picking up vs delivery to help save time and stress. Of course while I'm standing at the counter signing for them, this other customer asks, "What's the in the box?". I'm honest (and proud) and tell him baby snakes. The jerk reaches over and shakes the box! I snatched his hand so fast and snapped at him to get his hands off! I would still say if you can pick them up locally, do that.
And report this careless, irresponsible person to the USPS.

If you are planning to keep the snake and are happy with it, then I don't think I would report him. I've heard of other established, reputable breeders shipping baby Corns (not adults) through the USPS in deli cups filled with Aspen, never with any problems. It may not be in complaince with postal regulations, but it seems a lot less egregious than somebody shipping an adult cobra or python through the mail. I would guess the INTENT of the regulations is to prevent snakes from harming someone. Obviously that's not really a concern with a baby Corn, and I wouldn't be surprised if the postal inspector or whoever deemed it to be not worth his/her time, on that basis. I think it's silly that some people will only ship with Delta Dash (the opposite extreme.) If you don't like it, don't order from him again. If you are trying to make trouble for him, you should not keep the snake, imo. I agree with posting on the BOI, stating that you are unhappy with the way he ships, but I think I would stop there (unless you will be returning the snake.) Technically, if you keep the snake after it has been shipped in violation of regulations, you are an accessory after the fact (in legal-ese.)
