Baby corns wanted

BSLMichael

Below Sea Level Reptiles
Hello, I have been doing research on corns for the past few months and I think I am ready to get a couple for possible future breeding.
I want to beable to raise them from young because first at foremost they will be pets. Also my step dad and sister are afraid of snakes but have agreed to let me get 2, so I would like to slowly get them use to the idea of, in their eyes, "big" 4-5 foot snakes.

My budget for the snakes are around 100-130 dollars per snake + shipping. I would like to buy the female first if possible.

The two that I will be looking for are:
A male/female Hypo Cinder het Amel
A male/female Salmon Snow corn

Looking at the corn snake calculator that should breed;
Hypo/Strawberry het Anery, Amel, Cinder
Amel, Hypo/Strawberry het Anery, Cinder

My goal is to get a Salmon snow or snow with the Cinder gene. I have not seen anyone attempt this before and I think it would be cool to EVENTUALLY get 2 Salmon snow that can produce peppermints.

This brings up the question of; Is line breeding a huge risk? Is it a risk I want to take?

I have read up alot about line breeding and nearly all sources say that it is NOT a bad thing but should not be done more than 2 generations and if the result of the clutch is bad you should NEVER breed those 2 snakes to each other agian.

Does anyone have an opinion on line breeding?

Anyway thank you guys for your time.

There are generations of Morelia living on islands that have been separate from any new blood for 10's of thousands of years.....
I think you'll be alright.....LOL

Also I would love to have a pair of Miami with 100% het cinder, amel! anyone know someone who may have those for sale?

I would like to find a Hypo Cinder and a Hypo amel pair if possible if I can not find any of the other snakes in my price range! Anyone know where to look?
