It'd been a week since we noticed that Butter was in Blue (pink for him) and 10 days since his last meal and nearly a week since his last poop. So... I figured I'd give him a soaking to help with the shed and if I was lucky, I'd get a poop for my efforts.
Poop indeed! Rinsed him off in the sink and put him back in his bin. He started vigorously rubbing his nose on everything, so I called Cooper over to watch. He had a nearly perfect shed. Then I figured what the heck, perhaps he's hungry. He made short work of a 34g mouse.
While he was eating, I scattered some aspen over his paper towels in his bin. I'm a little nervous about that for some reason, not that aspen caused his RI, but this is the first he's been on aspen since getting sick.
Pre-eating weight = 464 grams! I think he's good to move back to a one mouse a week schedule. Since he's been eating pre-killed the last three meals, I'll order frozen adults from The Mouse Factory this week and see if I can get him to fully convert to F/T.
No... I forgot to get pictures first. Sorry. :bang:
