Bear Claw ~ bloodred update

This is my male bloodred ph amel, charcoal, pied-sided that I got from Kyle at Buckeye River Reptiles. He just shed before the weekend. He's got a ferocious appetite and tries to coil his f/t pinks before they have a chance to escape (or so he thinks that's a possibility). He's starting to settle in more but for the most part is very elusive in his viv. I was a day late in feeding my little ones this weekend and I found him wedged between the lip of his tank and the screen top... apparently, he knew it was past feeding time. lol

He's flighty when I first start holding him, but then he gets feeling so secure I have to coax him back in his viv, but not before he gets a long drink of water while hanging on tightly to my fingers... I love that about him.

I have one of his brothers I bought from Buckeye River Reptiles. Just shed yesterday. The pattern on my males head is very similiar. Nice looking snakes.

That's cool, feel free to post his brother's pic, would love to see and compare. :)

You can't go wrong with Kyle's animals, they are awesome eaters and so beautiful. I got two from him this year and plan on getting many more come spring. Gorgeous bloodred. :)

Well here is a shot of his brother "Ares". Look how similar the head pattern is.
