Yeah, so she's probably not trying to brumate, I wouldn't think. What is her substrate? Something that promotes digging? Isabel digs in her sand section once in a while, just because she can.

shes on aspen. she has always dug a lil nest to sleep in. but she has never dug like last night. all day to day she hasnt dug, just layed around on her log. came out for a free roam and walked around a bit an shes ground level and jumps back up into her own cage when shes done. not saying i leave her unattended to but shes a weirdo and likes her home a lot. my male would rather run everywhere and explore. i still have the lay box there just in case and the light ready to go on it again. she has been going to bed on her own about an hour earlier than usual. and some nights i come down just to play with snakes and i turn no lights on except the red light i have in a socket down there. and she gets up and will come to the glass. maybe hearing me or something.

edit: any chance the eating is just her slowing down eating bugs. maybe reaching her adult size early? she still eats greens like a machine.

Even with the correct temperature and light cycle, they still often will know what time of year it is. I have lots of customers right now whos dragons are already wanting to shut down for the winter... I think they can detect the change in air pressure as the seasons change. :) Your temps sound good btw. :)

Can she see the male? Often a female will dig to hide from anxiety, she may be uncomfortable with som'thing she can see.

nope. already had their problem sorted. the male lives above her. they only see eachother when they get to free roam and are not in their own cage. before they used to be acrossed from eachother the first week i got him. she was my first. and they used to beard up and smash the glass, arm wave and head bob like crazy. so i moved them so they couldnt see eachother.

i cant wait to breed them. shes a citrusxfire tiger (really yellow, violet bars, great pattern and some orange), and hes what the guy called a super citrus, citrusxcitrus (really orange but not a normal orange, like a tangerine almost id like to call it. really awesome in color and only getting better. hes only at 454 grams the other day.). so i cant wait to see what they make when theyre 2 or 3 years of age. maybe only once to get a another young one and just sell off the babies. breeding beardies is not on my priority. so much work involved.

i think i have a hint though. the a/c has been being used a lot this past 2 weeks with our hot spell. we usually never used it before. and we have this air uv filter thing that makes some noise. well today she kinda jumped when it kicked on. think the sound might be affecting her. if so she wont have to worry soon. since it wont be running cause we like open windows and fans. so much nicer that way. but its just been so humid/hot. i have the ac vents all shut in the basement though. so it doesnt get any colder than it already can.

You honestly might be on to som'thing. I see alot of digging in shy beardies...because there is som'thing in the enviroment bugging them (its usually another dragon tho) its also possible with the air coming on that the hot spot has dropped a tad...I've seen beardies that will stop eating with just a 5 degree drop. Personally I aim for a 110 deg hot spot :)
