I am new to cornsnakes and this forum as well, so I would like to start off by greeting all the forum users :wavey: . I decided to get a cornsnake after watching in awe, my teacher feed a Everglades Kingsnake: ( I stay in North Carolina so how my teacher got a snake from Florida is beyond me :shrugs: ) seeing the snake violently subdue the mouse totally amazed me (what teenager doesn't like violence
unch: ?)! So I bought a cornsnake the day before yesterday (9/7/05) from my local petstore. I ended up with a 10 gallon tank, a tank top, a heat light (50 watt bulb), a thermometer, aspen crumble, and either an Anerythristic, Ghost, or Bloodred Anerythristic cornsnake (can eat fuzzies or large pinkies). Now this is where I get to the point: I got everything up and running to the best of my ability, created my own hide from everyday large rocks (bleached and cleaned them), put the snake in and I have not touched him since.
So now I'm soaking information like a sponge and I want to be sure I know what I need to. So any information at all is welcome, any information you think is important or relevant would help greatly. I'm also hoping this will be the thread to help other newcomers also. Thanks. :wavey:
