Benebac for snakes that regurgitated

benebac for snakes? is this safe? a worker who considered herself an expert at petco said benebac can be placed in the pinky when fed and it is basically the same as nutribac
 
It is a probiotic like Nutri Bac. But I believe it is made for birds. I am pretty sure it is safe, but I don't know if the same microbes that help in a bird's digestive tract would help for your herp - it might, but I don't know. Do they have a selection made just for herps, or just the "old" general one for birds and all pets?
 
I wouldn't use this if I were you mate. I'd stick to something specifically produced with reptiles in mind. A lot of generalised products aren't that effective. If something said 'all pets' it doesn't mean that the company consider snakes to be a common pet, and therefore didn't do testing for it. If it says any mammal, snakes aren't mammals, and neither are birds, so I personally would be skeptical about using that, unless you get proper reassurance from an official source.
