Holy angry buffalo!!

Nanci

(I'm at work- no speakers- no idea what sound accompanies this.)

Now that I've watched it without sound- I think it's better that way for the first viewing.

Your link didn't work Nanci :shrugs:

But I found it by searching the site and wow, that was amazing! I gasped out loud when the buffalo flipped the lion in to the air :eek1:

I tested it! Let me check it again. I can't believe they came back!! The water incident was super scary!!

I know! Made me wince seeing two sets of predators tugging on that calf, talk about too much unwanted attention!! :eek1:

That was crazy. I had no idea the whole herd would come back, and the crocs surprised me.

I'm happy I watched it without sound the first time, so when the army arrived, it was a surprise!

Wow Nanci, My husband keeps trying to get me to watch youtube but never have until today, it's great. thanks susan

I absolutely cannot believe that! Amazing! I cannot believe the whole herd came back like that to save one baby. And I can't believe the baby was still alive after being chomped on by both lions and a croc!!

Susan!! Click the link in my signature that says Pineapple! And after you watch that, still on YouTube, do a search for "snake vs rabbit!!"

Yeah- that baby seemed ok in the hind legs area- both are amazingly moving ok.

Nanci

(Oh, and the reason I have that link by Zee's name, is because his other name is Pineapple, because he went through this creepy biting phase, followed by a getting really excited and wanting to mate with me stage. During the biting stage, (because he's technically rear-fanged venomous, and I made the mistake of looking at what a Western hoggy bite looked like) I developed this...unease...to put it mildly...about handling him.)

Yea for the underdog. Way to go.

Now, my question is this: Is this new behaviour for the water buffalo to fight off preditors or is it normal and this is the first time ever filmed?

Great vid. Thanks Nanci.

I know this will sound wimpy, but that's why I'm always nervous walking through a field with cows in it. They sort of gang-up and start encroaching on your space.

Nanci, I don't know which Susan you were referring to but the Pineapple video almost made me pee my pants, I laughed so hard. I watched the snake vs rabbit earlier when I watched to the water buffalo, also very funny. However, a nursing rubber boa, stimulating that guy was too much. :roflmao: susan

The lions were really in a hurry to get the calf out of the water, and would rather take their chances with the buffalo herd rather than escape into the river. They know.
