what type of solution do you use to clean everything in the tank with?
I use hot water and elbow grease, nothing else.Cat_Eyed_Lady said:nolvasan = mixed as told on the bottle or bleach = 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. both do very well and need to rinse well after useing.

Nor do I feel it should. Unless a hobbyist has a specific acute viral or bacterial problem, normal background flora within a viv is probably considerably healthier than outdoors, and should pose no risk to the snakes. Exposure to normal bacteria in the environment is vital to building a healthy immune system.Joejr14 said:Actually the best choice would be Novolsan. It's anit-viral and anti-bacterial, and you don't need to rinse it off.
Hot water and elbow grease doesn't take care of either of those problems.
I agree.... to some extent. Yes normal bacteria is needed but when you trap a snake or any animal in a box where the bacteria is not exposed to free flwoing air and the sun, the bacteria can build to toxic levels. This is when we as keepers have to take the place of Mother Nature and clean some of that bacteria up.jaxom1957 said:Nor do I feel it should.
