I'm working on building my own rack using the book shelf design and was curious what opinions everyone out there had as far as the best rubbermaid or sterelite tub. I played around with a few yesterday at walmart, I just couldn't find any that seemed to have a lid secure enough (yes, I looked at the latch ones lol) so that a hatchling couldn't squeeze out or a larger snake couldn't pry open enough to get out. Also what would be a good size to get for an adult corn (I was looking at the 3 5/8"x16 3/8"x6 1/2" (LxWxH) sterilite ones)
 
Most rack systems are built not to use the lids for that reason. I use 41 qt for my adults without any issues. Corns are escape artist so they can get out of the lids pretty easy. I'm Sure someone else will chime in here...
 
You could always get Lock 'N' Lock tubs. They're pricey, but worth it if you really want to use lids.
 
I use the sterilite tubs with the lids on. I have the shelves close enough where the snakes can not pop the lids. I also use the sterlites with locking lids on them. They work great.

I built the racks/shelves myself. Cost about 20 bucks each, w/o tubs.
