Here's a little guy I caught on a paved bike trail Saturday. About 80F, partial shade, trees. He was pretty eager to bite, but settled down in minutes. Released after photos.

This is near Hawthorne, north central Florida.

They always look so mean! We have a big one that hangs around our house that I wouldn't even think about attempting to catch although my roommate has. Great pics!

Beautiful shots, I must say. A nice close up, but he does look like a mean one. A good thing you were wearing gloves then if he was intent on biting you, even though he's just a little guy. He has a very pretty eye color

He got me once on the thumb, but couldn't even break the skin. Then he pretty much settled down. I caught another last summer, and it went _crazy_ trying to bite, and never quit. Those are cycling gloves, not snake-catching gloves. :)
