Hello
the snake i braught 2 days ago just started to fitt and bleed from the nose and mouth has stoped fitting but still bleeding
kinda scared now
wat shall i do
my vets wont touch reptiles

that doesnt sound good, can your vet not help with any other vets that do treat snakes, if not I would get the yellow pages out and have a look.

You'll have to travel to find a vet who will deal with your snake, otherwise death sounds likely. Nobody on a message board is going to be able to help you with such a fundamental and apparently catastrophic health problem.

My local vet in Bournemouth (East Dorset), is good with reptiles. Let me know if you want his details.

I wish you all the luck in the world - sounds like the little chap is going to need it. Let us know how it goes.

good luck let us know how you get on. It sounds like it could be serious if so you may wont to go back to who you got him from as well.

:'(
Unfortunately my snake died whilst in the vets care
The vets said she had something wrong with her brain and thats why she kept biting and was too aggressive
RIP :( LILLY :( at lease you in a better place

Erm... that's the first time I hear about something like that. I imagine the snake isn't two days old so... I don't see how the brain damage simply appeared suddenly...

At any rate it doesn't really matter- I am really sorry for your loss. I don't see anything you could have done to correct it...
Try and take it as lightly as possible, though it's not easy... it's really not your fault

That's miserable for you - I'm so sorry. But as it was neurological, there was nothing you could have done to prevent it. At least she was with someone who cared enough to find a vet out of town at short notice. x

I had one recently that the vet thinks "threw" a clot to her brain. She was ill and under the vet's care in the first place, but when I started noticing edema that wasn't going away, I took her back. On the way to the vet, she started biting the air, and writhing, and biting herself and acting "not there." Perhaps something similar happened with this snake and that's what the vet meant when he said something about her brain.

Did the person you got the snake from have any kind of health guarantee? Was it shipped to your or did you go pick it up in person?

really sorry for your loss.

If you bought it 2 days ago, how old was it? and was the seller aware of it's condition?

R.I.P little dude :(
