blue dissappeared

xerxes

addict
hey, some of you might remember, but ive been asking a lot of questions lately cuz xerxes was getting blue. well he was really really blue, and when i woke up this morning and checked on him before school and the blueness had disappeared. his head is still real pale but other than that he almost looks normal. is this usual for corns when they shed?:shrugs:

That stage is called "clear." It can last anywhere from hours to a couple days. Mine usually shed in 12-24 hours after they clear.

hehehe... I understand COMPLETELY! My one little girl just turned clear about a day ago (mind you I only found out because I dug her up to feed her- which she gobbled down!!- so Im estimating a day). Im keeping an eye out!!
Her 1st shed with me! Yay!

so is it okay to try feed him while he's blue? because i've been trying for the past three weeks to feed him and he wouldnt.

The one time I tried feeding when my corn was blue(just starting) it didn"t work out. She followed but never struck, then did not eat for 3 weeks. I'm not sure, but I think they find prey by heat and vibration and then when they get close enough they use sight(my observation of my snake feeding).
