Cohabbing is cruelty...
Bethany, so your telling me you bred a snake you didn't know the history of and couldn't id as a hybrid? Yeah, I would be upset as well if it was something that was done intentional to me while I was still learning and I had no intention of breeding hybrids. For what its worth, I have collected a photo gallery of hybrid snakes on my own computer. I have also collected pictures of various snakes I think might contribute to the look I'm after. I'm also in the research stage still and after several months of wanting to hybridize corns.... I still find myself looking at pictures trying to decide exactly what I want to mix and what I hope to achieve. I'd like to take my time and truly create something novel and unique, but I can totally understand your frustration.
She was a rootbeer, at least NOW I think she was. Back then she was given to me as a "corn". All browns and no reds. Back then I knew my morphs, and knew I liked pure snakes. I am still not 100% sure she wasn't pure, but I am pretty sure she was a rootbeer. So yes, that incident turned me against hybrids quite alot, even though I still cared for that snake. Not her fault after all but I never bred her again.
I just can never understand someone who could look at a beautiful animal in its pure form and not appreciate it for what it is supposed to be.
