I have a few adults housed in mine, and they love it. I even have a finicky Asian colubrid in one of the tubs, and she's doing better than she ever did in a viv. I have the model using back heat instead of under the tub heat. If you do find that there's a little gap, you can use a piece of cardboard along the bottom to make sure that it's flush with the top.
 
All of the heating they use is FlexWatt tape. The back heat is similar to the belly heat, with the exception that the tape goes along the back of the viv instead of on the floor of each shelf. It provides more of a temperature gradient.
 
You don't need a UTH with this rack. The back heat is more than sufficient, and the thermostat will make sure you get the absolute perfect temperature. :)
