Breeding/Genetics question-What morph should I breed Willow to?

Im not sure this is the right thread for this, if it is not Im sorry and Ill move the thread

This is just a question I have in terms of future consideration, as my cornsnake is only 44 grams at the moment and is a long way away from breeding readiness.

Willow is a female normal which I purchased from PJC Reptiles a few months ago. She is het Anery and Motley with a 66% of Amel as well.

I was thinking that the best male to breed her to would be a Anery Motley het Amel, but is that actually the right choice, or am I missing something here? Is there a better choice? Thanks!

I think your pick is a good one. You could also try a snow motley (anery + amel), if you like white snakes.

I would go for the snow motley myself - that tests the possible het amel out, and will produce animals who are *guaranteed* het for all three traits.

I would use the CornCalculator. Plug in what you want to breed and see what comes out. Try out different possibilites and see what you like.

Personally, I would vote for snow motley also. Both suggested genotypes gives you a possibility of the same phenotypes. However, Snow motley gives you a more even probability and any hets are 100% certianty rather than 66%.
(Thank you Corn Calculator!)

Snow Motley sounds like the best possible option, Thanks!

Also, thanks for that Corn Calculator, I spent way too much time tinkering with that today haha
