Breeding Projects

D'oh! Bad move on her part, but sounds like a good move on yours. if she can't except you, snakes and all, life will probably be easier without her. :)

wasnt even a second thought! :) Anyway.....life is short..do what makes ya happy as long as it's legal!! LOL

to me no one person is more important than me. :) So, if ya cant fly with we...get out of the way..I got things to do!! :)

She has let out 6 eggs so far, 1 slug, the rest look really good. she is a 700g granite i got from Docs Reptiles. shes still laying tonight so i hope she will be done by tomm night. i was told she laid 22 last year.
Pics coming tommorrow!

this year
1.1 butters het stripe
and 1. butter het stripe and .1 amel het diffused ph anery
Hoping down the road for some diffused butter stripes =)
Next year is unsure i know i'll be adding a female golddust motley to the mix but i think i'm going to get another male for the amel. I want some fires :p
and in 2 years i get to breed my dilute caramel het mot. amel anery hypo to my amel het dilute caramel anery hypo mot. not that i'm excited about!

I have eggs from:

1.0 Lava Okeetee X 0.1 Okeetee het Lava

1.0 Lavender het Lava Stripe ph blood X 0.1 Lavender het Lava ph stripe blood

1.0 Lava het Opal Stripe X 0.1 Lavender het Lava ph amel stripe

WAITING ON EGGS FROM:

Stripe het Lava ph lavender X Same

And my prize breeding - 1.0 ??? X 0.1 ??? :dgrin:

I just have 2 this year . . . .

Both my females had their pre-lay shed last week. Waiting for the eggs

1. Amel mot het caramel X anery hurricane mot het butter
2. Ice X Tessera

We shall see what happens . . . .

Oh, Danny . . . . hopefully that dilute anery's girlfriend will be ready next year! Plasma X Dilute Anery! She is almost big enough :)

I think the idea of finding something new is awesome, but the actual work may not be. Its take a while to properly prove something out.

Im not doing anything fancy schmancy, but if im lucky ill get some butter stripes, some other stripes, and some nifty project anerys. Because who doesnt love guessing whether or not their animal is dilute?

I suppose i could follow up..

Amel Stripe/Cube het anery ph caramel X Caramel stripe ph amel - 12 eggs, 10 good. Shes about to shed and drop a second clutch.

Snow stripe X Caramel stripe ph amel - 7 eggs, 2 good. She might have 1 or 2 more in her.

Anery motley X Snow stripe - 8 eggs, 0 good.

Waiting on a PLS from the Anery het amel, caramel X Blue motley/stripe (trundlefart) phomo/het hypo, blood.

i have a female hypo patternless poss het lavender that i am hoping to prove out next year, i want patternless lavenders and hypo patternless lavenders. the guy i got mine from(jeff risher @ hall of fame reptiles) has both and they are insane looking, solid purple and solid pink snakes! his line of patternless hatch out patternless also, so they are not like most vanishing stripes and lose their patterns after a while. i had a male patternless het hypo poss het lav, but one of my kids didnt get his tub all the way in and he is on "walkabout" somewhere in my house! i dont expect to ever see him again, but i am getting another male from jeff this year, maybe a patternless lavender het hypo, but those are still like $750.00 so i may just get another patternless het hypo and lavender. i have about six or seven other little projects going on, but two many to list. right now i have 23 corns and i still need my tessera...butter tessera is my goal for the next five or six years, cant wait to see one of those! i think a lavender tessera will be cool also.

I got 14 eggs from my Amel x Normal Het Lava Stripe today!
only 1 slug

Hello,

I am new to CornSnake.Com and am fascinated by the information here!

I would like to breeead my 8 year old Amel Corn before she gets much older....but I want to do research first. I am brand new at breading. have done some reading and watched some YouTube videos.

My question now is the following: If I buy a male Amel, will I have mostly if not all Amel hatchlings? This is what I'm after. Any suggestions would be greatlyappreciated!!!

-Thanks in advance,

Joe

Hello and welcome! Good job on doing research before you decide to breed.
Im gonna go ahead and say this before someone else does, you should buy Kathy Love's book:
http://www.amazon.com/Corn-Snakes-C...0706/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305897857&sr=8-1

or Don Soderberg's book
http://www.amazon.com/Corn-Snakes-C...ef=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305897891&sr=1-1-spell

They will both have the Info you seek and are great to have around to answer any questions you might have.

Good luck!
