Breeding

Judging from the large classifieds page, breeding seems to be kind of a big thing in the snake business so my first question is why we don't have a breeding page. :shrugs:

My second question is, how big of a market is there in Canada? I would really like to get into the breeding aspect of it but I don't want to be stuck with a million (slight exageration) hatchlings

My third question is, if there is a market, what is the best method of advertisement? What has worked for the rest of you?

Any advice is very welcome!

Thanks

We do have a section on this site dedicated to Breeding/Egg Production and Care.

I see quite a few people looking to buy cornsnakes in Canada. There are a few breeders there, but plenty of room for more I would think!

Web sites/on-line sales are good (if you are willing to deal with shipping). Reptile shows/expos are excellent places to sell (and buy) snakes. I, personally, sell my hatchlings wholesale to someone else who then sells on-line via his web-site and various snake forums as well as selling them at shows. Local pet shops can also be a place to try.

:) thanks, where is the section located? I haven't been able to find it. The reptile expo in toronto is in september I think and my boss is going to take a few of her employees there so if I end up going it will give me a feel for what its like.
