Brumation and shedding question

I turned off the heat to my rack to brumate my snakes a couple of weeks ago. I was just changing their water bowls yesterday, and I noticed my amel male is in shed. I was wondering if I should warm him back up and let him finish his shed cycle, or will he be ok? If I let him stay cool will he still shed ok, and if I do warm him back up should I feed him again and wait for him to digest before I re-brumate? If anyone has dealt with this please let me know!

he should shed fine without being warmed up. If he starts shedding in pieces though then you need to mist him down a little and you might need to help him shed. During brumation corns are so lazy that he might not move around enough to get the shed completely off.

Thanks Jynx

I will keep an eye on him, I guess I'm just a worry wart when it comes to my snakes. He looks a little clearer today, but he is so lethargic and lazy he didn't even bother to rattle at me and he usually does it every time he sees me, he does not like being handled! :nope:

Isn't that normal if you put a snake into brumating? All of his body functions are set on 'low' during that time.

Someone correct me, but I don't see how raising the temps for a couple days could possibly do any harm... and it might do some good.

How old is the snake? Are you brumating in preparation for breeding next season, or are you brumating because you think it's necessary?

Yes I would like to breed him, he's about two.
No I don't think it's necessary to brumate all my snakes.
I want to help him get through this shed cycle, I am just concerned he will get sick if I keep changing his temps though.
I realize it may be a dumb question, but that's how we learn right?

He finally shed

A couple of days ago, so I've been meaning to post about it in case anyone ever has the same question.
It took a long time between the blue eyed phase and the shed. I never did put the heat back on for him, but it all worked out.
