Bug bombs

So, I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem or not but it's a pain. We live near a pond, woods, and a train track so think for a moment about the amount of little creepy crawlers that are in those areas. Well they attack my house and the houses around me. So bombing for them happens often, I know it's not safe for a snake to breath in the flumes. Should I try to time the bombings around when he/she goes blue so that when I cover the top of the cage the humidity will rise? Also will a snake be able to go a couple hours with out any incoming air? The whole viv will be cover in SW just like I do for the betta tanks. Any thoughts on this? It only happens in the summer time when they is a mass amount of them outside.

Personally I'd remove them from the house and cover their cages so no residue gets in. Just pop them in pillow cases or their feeding containers.

Why can't a pest control company treat the perimeter of your house? That's what they do for me- they never come in any more. (And I have billions of Asian roaches, ants, the big palmetto bugs, etc.)

Never thought about asking them to do that. I'll bring it up to my mom. Thanks!

I guess they could go for a car ride on base with me. How stressful do you think it would be?

I would remove them as well, its worth any stress they have over the painful death they would receive if something went wrong. I've bug bombed my house quite a few times last summer and I always put every animal in the car for the few hours in takes to finish the bug bombing, I've never had a problem with it. ;)

Ah! You must live in Quantico, my Dad was stationed there many moons ago, and my sister was born there. It was so beautiful there but I do remember the bugs. susan
