I'm sure this question is asked all the time, and i know the search button is a life saver, but there's a million responses to it.

What bulbs do you use? Currently i have a 100w hot bulb for my corn. Is this to much for him? I've seen people using the red bulbs since it keeps up with the heat, and removes the brightness. Our apartment isn't huge, and Ohio gets pretty cold, so we have 2 wall heaters in our place. Not sure when we have them on how the temp will go in his cage. Guess i'm just getting ready for the future, but anyone have some luck with a lower watt bulb or infared bulbs?

I think I can safely say the majority of us don't use heat lamps or any other light in our vivs. I'm in Ohio and a UTH (under tank heater) is more than sufficient to keep temps up. A thermostat is a must if you switch to a UTH. As far as the cool side goes, if you're comfortable in the room then the snake should be too. Hope that helps...

Thanks for the input, actually went to the chat room and got alot of answers in a few seconds. So this thread is fake locked. Thanks for the help Drewby07 / Paul-Dominic / Goldtop

UTH or UHT whichever way it goes. But a heating pad since i can't remember abreviations. They informed me to pitch the bulb since it'll kick in his nocturnalness (made up words ftw).
