Buying a Corn Snake SOON!!

Well one is you can't be ruff with the snake...let him explore...if he goes somewhere you dont want him to go...guide his head back forward!:awcrap:

If you've researched how to keep your snake, and are enthusiastic and eager to learn as much as you can, and then to help other people learn, then kudos to you. Good luck.
(I don't know if you've read Kathy Love's book, it's a mine of information)

Well

Nope, I actually knew and learned about snakes for over 5 years...i love them, and I finally get to buy my first snake...ive been waiting for this time to get my snake.

How wonderful you've studied snakes for 5 years and now you finally are getting one. Five years is a long time to spend learning about snakes, I'm sure you have lots of knowledge to share with us.

Well i odnt know if im as 'smart' in the snake 'knowledge' as most of the people here but i know some stuff lol :)

Well, that's the potential for a great start in any hobby. Have you got the set-up ready for the new arrival?

Its going to have a bigggg branch and and i might add sand but i dont think its a good idea...what do u think?

Sand is an absolute no-no. It can get between the scales and cause irritation. Also, any moisture and fecal matter seeps into it to form a biofilm full of bacteria. Add abrasions from the sand on your snake to grow an interesting case of scale-rot.

My mom always said 'Never use Sand!' But I was going to be rebellious and buy it anyways! But now I've learned that i should go 'green' and use Coconut husk

I'd suggest you read the FAQs on this site, and 'Cornsnakes, the comprehensive owner's guide' is a book that you won't regret buying. Follow this link to the website of Kathy Love, one of the members here who's a well known and respected breeder
