sorry if this is wrong thread. What is your favorite kind of cage? Now that I just pulled my snakes out of hibernation after they escaped their cage 2 MONTHS ago.....I'm ready to seek more options. I currently have the screen top one, that just sits on the top of aquarium...no locks.

oh, btw.....I found them snuggled together in my ceiling near pipes. One escaped on a Monday, and the other on a Wednesday...cool that they ended up together again..... I didn't think they were companion reptiles but they always want to be together. confused.
 
Im a huge fan of the sliding screens with the lock tabs, I never trusted the screen tops with clips or weights to hold the secure not to mention Im a bit OCD, I like the nice clean look on top.

I use glass aquariums too, with the heavier screen top. I have pavers on the corners currently, but am going to go with velcro straps this week.

Don't be confused, be confident. They CANNOT be housed together, even though they seem to like each other. They may have just been competing for the warmer spot. Corns are cannibalistic, can and DO eat each other. Please don't let them stay together. http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118182
 
I really enjoy my Visions. The 221 are a perfect size for adult corns. Also quite like the 2 Boaphiles I have... The plastics cages overall are wonderful! And very secure. Depending on your area, you can sometimes find them available used on Craigslist, etc for much lower than new. Just have to disinfect the crap out of them before use.

Though if you're attached to glass, the Exo Terras are nice.. Front opening, lock option for the front doors, make for a very nice display. They've redone the tops in recent years so they latch down more securely, too.

Also, very much agreed with Smigon!!! Do not house them together.. If you found them together, odds are it's just that that spot was the most ideal temperature zone, and they were more keen on staying alive than staying away from each other. This especially goes if Nebraska has been as cold as most the rest of the United States this winter--in which case, finding a spot with a stable, survivable temperature is all the more important for an escaped snake.
