Can green only occur on a "bubblegum" snow? Lot of pictures!

Marzipan's Mom
First of all, I was wondering that if my snow is starting to show green in her saddles if that makes her a "bubblegum" snow? Or can green occur on a normal snow?
Here's a pic:

There's green bordering the saddles. Sorry the picture is so low quality. I hope you can see it! I noticed it on her a couple of months ago, but I thought it was a trick of the light. Then she shed recently and it's brighter so there's no doubt it's there.

And now, photo time!

I feel like a lot of it is in the eye of the beholder. There are a lot of snows called bubblegum (or pink and green, etc) that I just don't see it in. I guess, for me, I want some real NOTICEABLE green. Many people say their snake has green, but I don't see it. I can see what you are referring to, and my snow has something similar. As a personal preference, I don't refer to it as green.
Also, I tend to think of the bubblegums, pink and greens, etc as just like any other line-bred snake. If they don't come from a true line-bred project then they are essentially like a lookatee. In other words, they've got the look going, but they aren't line-bred animals.

You've got a very nice looking snow all the same :)

Thanks Zach! That was very informative. I don't know much about corn morphs.

I'm not trying to find something "special" about my snow. I could care less because she's perfect the way she is. I was just really surprized to see green on her. It's so amazing how they change colors as they grow! I'm almost expecting to see purple next! Haha. ;)

Thanks again,
- Megan

I really like the pic with the cord, it's very attractive and artistic! The session with the mirror is also very impressive. How do you manage to take mirrot pics without flash ruining it? How do you get these blakc backgrounds? Photoshop?

Don't know a lot about bubblegums...

Forgto to say that Marzipan lukes cute as ever! Maybe it is your pic taking style but there is really something about her!

i get that too, shes a real beauty, but theres something else about her too eh ;)

Aw, thanks so much Blutengel and Tula_Montage. =) Marzi is very spunky and defiantly has a lot of personality. I think it shows through in the pictures. I don't do anything particularly special when I take photos. I just take tons of them and pick out the ones that come out good. (This shoot had over 70 photos, but only 14 made the cut. That should give you an idea.)

The black background comes from my very bright flash. Most of the light reflects off my arm or off Marzi and the background comes out very dark. I use Photoshop a little bit to crop the pictures, resize them, and do very slight contrast adjustments if needed. The mirror shots were only cropped and resized, no contrast adjustments at all.

As for taking the mirror shots, after a couple of experimental shots, I found that if I took them at in angle, the light wouldn't bounce off the glass. Basically it was just trial and error until I got some cool shots.

I'm lucky because Marzipan is very tolerable of my photo taking. S/he just doesn't seem to mind at all.

Phew! Sorry for talking a lot! Thanks again for the kind comments. =)

I can't wait 'til Lil is a big girl like Marzipan, the colours on snows are subtle and intriguing. Lil was sold as a green-blotched snow, but now I understand there is no guarantee she will get the green edging. Even a hint of green will make me happy!
