Some people cohabitate with no problems, but in general most people agree that it is a bad idea for a number of reasons. If you do a search (using the search button on the upper right side) for cohabitation you will find lots of previous threads discussing the topic.

Main reasons not to cohab:

1. Undue stress. Snakes are solitary by nature. Stress can cause any number of health problems, including not eating and susceptibility to illness.

2. Breeding too young, if they are male and female. Many people don't know that snakes can and will breed when the female is too small, which can lead to egg binding and premature death.

3. Possible cannibalism.

4. Potential introduction of disease and parasites without proper quarantine.

There are many reasons why not to cohab. I think many people do it because they can't afford a second set-up or don't have space for it. I don't feel its worth the risks.

I've just had the same problem with my 2 and trust me everybody will tell you exactly what they told me.Seperate them. These people know their stuff.

Cheers people i gonna leave it. My snake for the last 2 years as never not took food and is very healthy and im not gonna take no chances im happy with just 1 snake so not gonna get 1 for the sake of it long as his happy thats all i care about.
