Well, I based my assumption on the fact that it appears to be a small corn (less than a year old) and the ground color doesn't look bright enough to me.SkyChimp said:Please tell me why. What would be the difference? I picked this particular snake as my first corn based on her size and demeanor. The color was very secondary to me (except that I didn't want an albino).
It looks like a crimson, which is a hypomelanistic (reduced black) Miami Phase (a selectively bred normal with very light background). In crimsons, the hypo tends to turn the saddles a maroon color, which is how yours appears in the photo.SkyChimp said:I'm not sure what morph this really is. It was sold as a "Christmas Corn" but I can find next to nothing on that. To me it looks more like Miami but with more subdued reds. Any ideas? Thanks.

There's an awful lot of debate as to what is and isn't a "Miami", so do some Google image searches and draw your own conclusion. Or just check out Carol's website! :grin01:
