Well I'm with Darin again on this one, I wouldn't take the risk of feeding something to my snake that could potentially get it addicted. If you want variety, just try feeding f/t chicken chicks or something. What is this whole fascination with "treats" anyway? They're not like a dog who gets the point of a Milkbone, everything to them is a meal.
But I do have some advice on quail, as I raised them extensively in my youth. Quail are a sensitive bird like all game birds seem to be, not nearly as hardy as a chicken. Common parasites and diseases seen in feed birds, can decimate a quail colony in weeks.
Unlike chickens, quail will and do fly for short distances..they can also jump a considerable height, a box won't hold them for long. So you'd have to have a pretty good sized pen outside for them to run in. It'd have to have a top to keep the quail in and predators out. Cause where you have quail, you're going to end up having everything that likes to eat them around as well..hawks, cats, dogs, raccoons, opossums, skunks, etc. Quail of all ages also need to be fed chicken chick starter mash, as it's smaller sized and has more nutrients in it. Chickens over the years have been bred to subsist on anything we give them. But to keep quail happy and healthy, they need a lot of vitamins and minerals. And chick starter mash is more expensive per bag than regular chicken mash, so that is another consideration as well.
Also, an adult quail is about the size of an adult pigeon, and quite a bit larger than anything a normal adult corn snake could handle. I've had some black rat snakes get into my quail enclosure and kill 5-7 birds a night, but was never able to get them down. All you'd find in the morning was dead birds with a severely stretched neck that looked like it'd been slimed by an army of slugs.
If you're so bound and determined for a treat, just go to the feed store and order some chicks. Right now our Rural King has got all breeds of chicks in for about $1 a piece. Or you can order f/t chicks from RodentPro.
But I don't think "treats" are really good for a snake..it's going to get hooked on something that's outrageously expensive and in order to keep that snake alive you'll have to submit to caviar, instead of just beans. If you want to give it a treat, buy a rat of appropriate size.
