Hi everyone,

I have a 14 month old snake about 16 to 18 inches long. And I know she needs to be on fuzzies but I cannot find them in my area. I have checked a couple places around here but one place said the same guy delivers to the every place around here and he doesn't have. Do you guys have any ideas on what to do instead of fuzzies? Or a good place online to get them with decent shipping rates? I live in California about 2 hours northeast of Los Angeles. Thank you for any help.

Hi Sandra, any chance there are weekend reptile shows within reasonable driving distance for you? You can pick them up there, generally, and probably in smaller quantities that you need assuming you have just the one snake.

I'll PM you a listing for an ad on another site for a location that might be near you.

The thing with online purchases of those, you usually have to buy a very large quantity that might not make sense if you own a single snake, and/or you take hefty hit on shipping. Do you have other snake-owning friends near you that you could share the shipping/quantity with?

ALSO - can you approach any of your local pet supply/reptile stores and explain the issue and offer to coordinate a shipment if they'll share the shipping cost and share the quantity? That way, they get some to replenish their stock and you get the quantity you need without springing for a bag of say 500 or so.
