Should the air temp be warmer cuz its around 60 now

Is your house actually at 60? That is cold to be living in, no?

If you house is warmer than 60, maybe the thermometer in the viv is faulty? As the viv should be pretty much at the same ambient temp as your house - unless it is in direct sunlight, then it would be warmer.

You are probably fine then. Best bet is for ambient temps is to get either an infrared thermometer or a digital one with or without a probe. Zoomed makes a cheap digital one with probe that works well. It is yellow. Home Depot should sell a non-probe digital one - maybe get one that tells you the humidity level as well.

It's in a picture a few posts up...the thermostat probe was taped, opposed to siliconed to the bottom of the viv. Pretty sure they said it was taken care of tho.
