I weighed him yesterday. 275g! So he gained almost 100g since I last weighed him a couple months ago. Here's some pics!

He usually doesn't constrict his prey since I feed him F/T. It's been a little longer than usual since his last feeding, though, since I ran out of mice and was only able to get some more today. So, about 10 or 11 days rather than the usual 7 or 8. Anyway, I guess he wasn't taking any chances this time.

The hoppers I got were smaller than usual, but I'm still feeding him 2 per feeding. At 275g is he ready for adult mice? The next size up at the LPS is adult, so no....weaned, I think it is?

In my opinion, more than ready. My snakes are typically ready for small adult mice at around 150-ish grams. Just start off with a couple of the smaller ones out of the package if you feel more comfortable going that route.

Just re-read my post, and I'm sure you know what I meant, but . . . I meant a couple of the smaller ones for the next couple of meals. Not two smaller ones at a time.

Popular opinion here is that he is a Charcoal (The LPS had him labeled as a Pewter).

Thanks, Drez. I'll do that once my current stock of hoppers are consumed.

I was thinkin he looked kinda like a charcoal... But he's different looking than other ones I've seen, so maybe he is a pewter... Beautiful boy either way... :)
