Cerberus is either too mellow or too dumb

I usually change out Cerb's water when I feed him so he's outside of the viv when I take the water bowl out. Last time I fed him, though, I forgot since I was in a hurry. Well, a couple days later I realized I hadn't given him fresh water, so I quickly did that.

Of course, when I took the water back, he was out of his hide checkin' out what was going on. He'd slithered pretty much exactly where the water dish resides, so I reached in to pull him back.

I guess I startled him because BAM! First time ever he struck at me. Of course, all he did was bump my arm with his snout since he didn't open his mouth. So he's either too mellow to strike even when startled, or not smart enough to open his mouth. :p

 you guys are too funny.

My boy is seriously dumb too. He thinks that if he can't see you, you can't see him either. So he'll be bobbing along - or slumbering along, as he does nowadays - and hide his head behind something when he wants to go invisible ;) He's done this since he was a nipper.

No Char, we can't see that 5 feet of backside sticking out behind you. He also gets hypnotised by tinsel and fairy lights.
