Chance of this little one?

My female finished laying her 2nd clutch yesterday which I didn't notice until today :( All were hard hard yellow eggs but ONE!

I think I found "him" way way too late, so do you guys agree its chance are slim to none? I have it in damp vermec. with a damp paper towel on it just in case.

thanks for any input. It would be nice if he would make it but at this point I am kicking myself for finding this little one way too late.

I think there is hope. It doesn't hurt to try and plump it up.
Keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.:)

Thank you very much. I have 19 other healthy eggs about to hatch so I don't know why I care so much but for some reason I am REALLY hoping this egg makes it. Maybe its just because it was one of 13 that looked like it might have a had a great chance had I caught it earlier.

I would care about it too, no matter how many "good" eggs i had incubating. I guess I always try to be optimistic unless it's dried up and hard:)

Never say never ~~~~~~~~:~

They are like little presents waiting to be open. Kathy Loves book says that it can be dented up to 40% and still be ok. Hang in there. Sam ~~~~~~~:~

I don't mean to be the negative one here...but the same thing happened to me with my anery a female...and I lost ALL of the eggs despite my efforts (14 I believe)!

Good luck either way...

What ~~~~~~:~

What happened to all your eggs? Do you know why, what went wrong? Thanks for sharing. Sam ~~~~~~~~:~

Yeah, it hasn't filled out at all even thoughts it has been in damp vermeculite with a damp paper towel over it all night. *shrug* oh well. If it starts going yucky, I'll toss it. If it stays white, who knows, and I'll keep it in there.

I didn't realise she had laid her eggs...So I didn't catch them in time to put them in the proper incubater with temps/humidity right. So they dried up, exactly let the one pictured...Few weeks later they yellowed and molded...

that does not have to mean

that does not have to mean that the eggs were to dry and died of that. If u have a eggs thats dehydrating u should not put them in very wet medium just beacuse they needs to absob water. If u do that it can easily go to the other side and die beacuse its to wet and get molds and die quickly. Instead put it in the right humidity level from begining and just hope that i'll be allright, if the eggs doesent mold or rutten until it's going to hatch but still looks dehydrated it will proabebly make it. I dont know about how u folks did but i have a small feling that I personaly easily would have made it to wet just beacuse it loked dehydrated.I' dont think that realy dehydrated eggs mold so easily as the to wet ones.

I think that egg will make it if u do exacly as u did with the other good eggs!

GOOD LUCK!
