This is my auction Mohr Charcoal... what a different belly pattern for "just" a charcoal... didn't know that het for Motley had belly markers :) Jeff, you sure you sent the right one??? :)

The Charcoal I got from Jeff in November has the same odd like pattern. I thought that when the belly checkers were affected that way that the snakes were het for bloodred/diffusion?

There are some that would like to say its a good marker for bloodred/diffusion, but this little guy is only het for amel motley. So Jeff must be trying to save money by saving on the black magic markers :)

Definitely an awesome snake! Blizzard motleys in the future I assume?

They can be, but aren't always. I've hatched out het bloods that had normal belly pattern, and have also hatched out corns that had similar belly checks but had no blood in their genetic pool.

Actually, I hadn't planned on it.. the amel was something I didn't particularly want, although that's what Jeff was promoting in the ad.

I have an ultramel that is 100% Charcoal and 100% Motley.. so I'm hoping for a slight chance at a Charcoal Motley. :) With her being Ultramel, there is always the chance I guess :)

Or better yet, ultramel charcoal motleys!! I bet that would be a smoking combo.

I really need to invest in a regular charcoal. They always look so nice. I have the phantom and platinum but some thing about the regular charcoal is so appealing. Congrats on a nice little guy Ginger. :)

Thanks Becky :) You really should get yourself one! I think you could do amazing things with one :)

And I'll be upfront here and give you guys a tidbit.......there is no known bloodred in either one of the above mentioned snakes. But....the founding stock came from Rich Z and Tim Rainwater so you never know what is in the mix..... :crazy02:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm interesting... although he is slated to be bred to something that has no bloodred in her, so even if he does, she won't, so I believe my chances would be nil of getting something along that lines :)
