Chicken necks

Well Vinman.
What are your thoughts on vitamins supplements and such??
It seem you have study this for a while.

I been breeding snakes since 1985. I belive that most dried/powered vitmans dont work if so then we would not have to eat a balanced diet but on the other hand I do belive in mineral supplements and licquied vitmans

Roy did you have any problems getting them to eat mice again after such a delicious meal? That's kinnda what i fear. Did you ever feed other eggs of small birds? Or are the sharp egg shells dangerous. Just curious really. I don't intent to feed bird eggs. Bit i will keep it in mind if next year i get some bad eggs from my snakes.
No, the kings have always gone right back to mice after egg or snake meals. I've never fed them bird eggs. I wouldn't think that the shells would be dangerous, but I'm really not sure about that.

Dean that is a real good way to spread pathingens from one snake to another. It is not reconmened to feed snake eggs to your kings . I only do this with my living room collection and only with kings I dont care about that go to the pet stores
With all due respect, Vinny, it's not a huge concern of mine. It's a fairly common practice. I don't have any high-end kings, so I guess you could equate mine to those in your living room collection. Although that's not to say that I don't care about them. ;)

I know dean you take very care of your animals . Unlike me they are more of pets to you . to me they are just a avenue to fool around with genticts and make money . The whole thrill of keeping snakes as pets has faded away. As you know every snake in my collection is expendible and will be replaced by another one just like it but better quilty weather color or pattren or both. I breed fish, lizards, snakes, snails. I like to look at them but the thrill of handling them is gone. I realy have no pets, just stock

Actually, this isn't really true at all, Vin. I just sold most of the snakes for which I had no breeding plans. Most of my snakes are in racks where I can hardly see them, and I'm not much of a recreational snake handler. I don't really think of them as pets at all. Breeding is my hobby, and it's always nice to make a little cash from it (even if I never actually break even). My only "pet" is my stupid chihuahua, and he grows more expendable by the day... :grin01:

If I hit lotto I would travel the world observing nature , hunting herps . Catching the fish in lake maliwi and tanganika, fighting for conservation and wildlife. Absorbing different country's culture and there women. going to see bands, and expermenting with mind aultering plants. Buy a modest house with a lot of proprety & side bulding for keeping and breeding animals, which I would not do any of the work just oversee everything.

I personally don't know of any man who would not enjoy that vacation Vin. As a matter of fact............now that I think about it, I actually accomplished about 75% of your dream by my mid 20's. :uhoh:

For me they are definately pets. I have a hard time letting go of my hatchlings. There are 1 or 2 i am less attached to i might sell but the rest ain't going anywhere. I bought them as hatchlings and i would never sell them. Though i doubt any of them would give a crap. Still few people would take as good care of them as me ;)
