Cleaning out snake hides?

Hey! So my corn Hydra pooped today and managed to get it all over the side of his coconut hide! What's the best way of cleaning it? I don't want to leave it in case of bacteria growing.

So far I've rinsed it under water, sprayed with reptile disinfectant and rinsed it again and now it's drying. I

Is there anything else I should be doing?
(Also, it's not a plastic hide, it's one of fake coconut things if that helps)

Thanks!!! :)

The way you cleaned it sounds okay - I am not sure though because I always use non-porous hides because my snake has also pooped on hides :) I think anything more aggressive (ie. bleaching) might not be a good idea because the bleach may seep into the hide. I am not sure though.

I would scrub it in soapy dishwater. You can buy one of those bristle dish scrubbers and use it just for snake poop. DON'T use it on his water bowl, then, though.

Okay, I'll keep that in mind :) thanks! Unfortunately, there are very few hot days in Britain! Haha, I'll do that if it's nice out though :)
